Rachael DeCosta has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry, and currently is a Vice-President with John Hancock Investments, a top tier investment management firm with close to $700B in assets under management. Rachael is known by her clients as an expert in the non-profit and endowment space, and she is frequently asked to present at Investment Committee meetings and non-profit seminars. Growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, Rachael and her family were involved in many community based organizations, and she has served several local boards. Given Rachael’s personal involvement with domestic abuse, she is passionate about Becky’s Fund’s mission. She wants to use her personal and professional experience to help Becky’s Fund reach as many people as possible, and promote the programs to stop the cycle of domestic and intimate abuse. Rachael received her B.A. from Colby College and has completed graduate work at both John Hopkins University and University of Maryland. In her free time she enjoys skiing, running, trying to golf, volunteering, traveling, the Redskins and mostly spending time with her 7-year old daughter. She continues to be involved in her community through engagement in non-profit organizations and her daughter’s school. Rachael lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her daughter, Alexandra, and two dogs.
