Hi! My name is Erzsebet Helmeczy and I’m a new intern for Becky’s Fund. I’m originally from Ithaca NY, but I’m currently a student at American University here in D.C. I’m majoring in International Studies with thematic areas in Identity, Race, Gender, Culture and Justice, Ethics, and Human Rights. I’m also a radio show D.J and a barista! I’m looking forward to working with Becky’s Fund this summer 2017 as a Program and Communications Intern to help develop and present the Men of Code initiative.

Last summer I interned for the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County, a sexual assault and domestic violence prevention agency. The knowledge I gained from this internship inspired me to continue working on issues of SA/DV, so I conducted research which focused on the engagement tactics of sexual assault prevention programs curated for college-aged men. I’m very pleased for the opportunity to continue learning about education development, community outreach, and intimate partner violence prevention through my work with Becky’s Fund!
